Dr. Peter Allotey, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician currently serving patients at Southeast Medical Group Westside in Macon, Georgia.
Dr. Allotey was born in Accra, Ghana. He attended college in Ghana at the University of Science and Technology Kumasi where he earned a BSC in Human Biology. He then completed medical school at the University of Science and Technology Kumasi before completing his internal medicine residency program at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Allotey has been awarded Best Intern Howard University Hospital and Chief Resident Greater Southeast Hospital, now United Medical Center in Washington D.C. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Society.
Dr. Allotey has been in practice for over 30 years. He is fluent in Ga, Twi, and Fanti, all spoken in certain regions of Ghana. His medical interests include men’s health, weight loss management , hypertension, adolescent medicine, preventive health, and out-patient medical practice. Dr. Allotey currently welcomes patients ages 16 and older.
Dr. Allotey is very active, enjoying activities such as boxing and track and field athletics. In addition to exercising the body, he likes to exercise the mind by playing games such as scrabble and chess. He loves spending time with family and watching movies with them.
